    Dear,

I cannot see what version of CoDeSys is recommended with the
latest version of Software for the EL6900-package, i.e. 4.0.3 from 2018-03-14

    Best Regards

    OK, I found more info.
    Version supported is 3.5 sp 11 p50.
However the current version is sp12 p20 (or the like)

How well do the package work with these newer versions?
    Limitations?

    Best Regards

    Hi Magnus!

I think, it's not a matter of the programming system working with the module, but it's a matter of safety certificates... Codesys 3.5.11.50 is certified by German TÜV as compliant with all relevant standards and laws.

In "C:\Program Files (x86)\3S CODESYS_3_5_11_5\CODESYS\Documentation\en\CODESYS Safety for EtherCAT Safety Module - Safety Manual EN.pdf" you can find the following:
    "9.4 Updating the CODESYS version
Two versions are of importance for "CODESYS Safety for
EtherCAT Safety Module": the version of CODESYS and the ver-
sion of the extension "CODESYS Safety for EtherCAT Safety
Module" (the information can be found in the “Help” menu,
“Information” command and in the “Tools” menu, “Package
    Manager” command)
CODESYS and "CODESYS Safety for EtherCAT Safety Module"
are further developed in such a way that a software update is pos-
sible without the loss of the acceptance of a safety application.
    NOTICE!
    The software packages CODESYS and
"CODESYS Safety for EtherCAT Safety Module"
    should always be updated together."

So it looks like you can work with V 3.5.12 of Codesys and the actual version of the safety package. If there are any restrictions, 3S support should know them....

    Good luck!
